Republican Party candidate Tim Roche dislodged Democrat Daniel Hobbs from the District 7 House seat and paid tribute to voters as well as his opponent.
“Thank you to all the town of Wells for showing up tonight for both sides. Around 75% voter participation,” he wrote on Facebook.
“Before I celebrate I want to personally thank Dan Hobbs for his efforts these last couple of years in Augusta. He is a good man, a man of integrity. No one takes these state positions for the money, it’s because they want to help. And he always tried to help the people of Wells. Thank you Dan,” concluded the post.
