York Region Chamber of Commerce Reform Physical Therapy

3322e

Don’t neglect your health, Reform it!’. That’s the idea behind Eliot’s newest physical therapy clinic at Eliot Commons.

Reform Physical Therapy of Eliot, managed by Rachelle ‘Shellie’ Jenkins, PT, MSPT is now open in Eliot Commons, right next door to Maine Pet Supply. The company, founded in 2008 by Bangor native, Jill Partridge, is a privately and Maine-owned, general orthopedic outpatient physical therapy practice with clinics also in Topsham, Freeport, Yarmouth, and Kennebunk. Licensed physical therapists use their one-on-one therapy sessions to treat the individual as a whole, not just the injury.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony promoted by the York Regional Chamber of Commerce and Shipyard Brewing Company was held on March 15th to kick off the grand opening and introduce the company to the Eliot community. Attendance included Reform staff, community members, Shipyard Brewing owner and founder, Fred Forsley, as well as Eliot Town Manager, Michael Sullivan.

“I understand that life is busy and pride myself on helping my patients streamline which components of care are the most important to target depending on the current situation, injury, or ailment.” Said Shellie Jenkins, PT, MSPT. “I enjoy the one-on-one time I get to spend with each patient during every visit to Reform PT and take the time to truly hear and understand how each individual’s situation is unique and impacting their life. Then, I work with each patient and any other involved providers to create a solution and develop a treatment plan to address the individual’s needs and goals.”

Shellie, her husband, and two children reside in southern Maine. Shellie graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy over 15 years ago. Since earning her degrees, she has worked in a variety of settings to provide quality care, but is most passionate about assisting people to return to their previous activities and quality of life in an outpatient setting.

The Eliot Reform Physical Therapy clinic is located at 28 Levesque Drive, Suite 10, Eliot, right next to Solfege Center for Healing!
