Census Bureau: More women than men in Alfred in 2020

Of the 997 people living in Alfred in 2020, 54 percent (538) were women and 46 percent (459) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Maine News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 36. In the 65 and over age range, there were 140 females and 110 males.
