These incidents are currently being investigated and we are seeking help from the public. We are asking that if you have security cameras outside of your residence, and your cameras captured anything that appears to be suspicious on the night of 9/15 between the hours of 1:00am and 5:00am that you forward it to Detective Sheahan at Ksheahan@oobmaine.com or call 207-934-4911 to make a report.

AS A REMINDER:

Criminals look for easy targets. You can make it more difficult for them by following the 9PM routine of locking all vehicles! Many vehicle burglaries occur as a result of vehicles being left unlocked.

In many instances, we have found that criminals are walking through neighborhoods, trying vehicle door handles, hoping to find an unlocked vehicle. Many times these criminals will try to access every vehicle in a neighborhood. The best way to prevent vehicle burglaries is to remove all of your valuables, lock your vehicle’s doors upon exiting and take the keys to the vehicle inside your residence.
