The Colby golf team placed fifth on Saturday at the Thomas Invitational held at the Waterville Country Club. The Mules shot a four-man score of 320. They also finished fifth on Sunday at the Farmington Invitational at the same course with a four man score of 321.
The Thomas Invitational on Saturday consisted of eight teams: Colby; University of Maine Farmington; Thomas College; Husson University; University of New England; Saint Joseph's College; Maine Maritime Academy; and UMaine-Presque Isle. Thomas took the victory on the day as they carded a four-man score of 305, a 6 stroke lead over second place Husson.
Jacob Teszler had a great Saturday, scoring 76 (36 40).

The Farmington Invitational held the same teams at the same course. Thomas won Sunday as well, with another 305. The Mules were led by junior Jacob Teszler who carded another impressive 76. Spencer Krex, Ryan Harper, and Nick Stapleton also scored for Colby as they scored 80, 80, and 85.

Colby College Golf plays next when they travel to Brunswick, ME to take on the Bowdoin College Polar Bears. The Mules will play 18 holes Saturday (September 24th) and Sunday (September 25th) at the Brunswick Country Club. Both days will begin at 9:00 AM.
