Recently, a Somerset County resident received mail that appeared to be from the Department of the Treasury – Internal Revenue Service. The mailing contained Form 13873-T RAIVS Request for Tax Information Documents or Transcripts of Tax Accounts which requests personal information of the taxpayer/recipient. This form is not a legitimate IRS form. It is a SCAM. If you have questions about forms you receive that appear to be from the IRS, seek advice from an accountant before providing the information requested. Sheriff Lancaster
