Memorial Day is just around the corner and the Biddeford-Saco community is again gathering to honor all veterans who have died in service to our country.

EVENT DETAILS

The Biddeford-Saco Memorial Day Parade will begin with an opening ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park in Biddeford (corner of Alfred & Pool Streets) at 9:55 AM, with the parade immediately following. The parade will head down Alfred Street toward Main Street, turn right onto Main Street, and continue toward Saco. When the parade reaches the halfway point of the bridge between the cities, a short ceremony will be held. The parade then continues on Main Street into Saco until turning right at Beach Street and left on Middle Street for the closing ceremony at Memorial Field at CK Burns School (135 Middle Street).

Following the closing ceremony, attendees are invited to AmVets Post #1 in Biddeford (147 Alfred Road) for a luncheon.

Saco Police Department and Biddeford Police Department have been working together, with the support of other City departments, to ensure the safety of all who participate in the event. We ask for you to help us by observing posted no parking signs, respecting road blocks, and driving safely around the event. To view a high-resolution version of the traffic map, click here.

We hope to see you on Main Street this coming Monday as we honor those who are no longer with us. For full event details, visit Heart of Biddeford's website.
