Colby College Mules Start the Season with a 3-1 Win

The Colby College Volleyball team hosted their first match of the 2022 season against the Saint Joseph's College Monks Tuesday night.  Colby downed the visitors 3-1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-20, 26-24).

The Mules took the first set convincingly, but Saint Joseph's kept the score tight the rest of the way, including taking the second set and forcing extra play in the finale.  First years LJ Grant and Emma Davis led the way offensively with 11 and 10 kills respectively.  Four Mules tallied double digits in digs, with Bella Schumacher tallying a team-high 15.  Sydney Sick led the Mules with 25 assists, and Natalie Bumpus recorded two blocks.

Colby remains in Waterville through the weekend, hosting UMPI, Gordon, and Mount Holyoke in their opening tournament.
