National Hispanic Heritage Month runs annually from September 15 through October 15 and celebrates the Latino community and their histories, cultures, and contributions.
During this month Southern Maine Community College will recognize and bring awareness to Latinx people, both past and present. Please look for a display in the South Portland Campus Center with photos and information that highlights various notable figures throughout the month. In addition, we encourage you to browse resources and attend events around Hispanic Heritage Month to learn more, including those below.
