Johnson & Wales jumped out to an early lead against Colby just over a minute and a half into the first twenty minutes of play. The Wildcats added onto their lead to give them what would seem to be a 2-0 advantage over the Mules. With just over thirty seconds left in the period, John McElaney chipped puck up to Carter Breitenfeldt, finding Clay Korpi on the left, who ripped a shot past the Johnson & Wales goaltender to cut the deficit in half. Fourteen minutes into the second period, Jack Sullivan tied the game for Colby on a five on three power play, McElaney and Breitenfeldt each earning an assist. The Mules found their first lead of the game with a minute and a half left to play in the second when WIll Molson and Clay Korpi assisted on Tyler Crist's second goal of the season. Colby would be able to hang onto the lead in the third period to take their second win of the weekend. The Mules outshot the Wildcats 41-14 today, with CJ Hapward making his first start of the season and making twelve saves.
