Colby College Women's Basketball Posts Dominant Win Over Thomas

The Colby College Women's Basketball team faced off against town rival Thomas for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday. The Mules took the lead right away and did not give the Terriers any chance of coming back leading to a dominant 82-48 victory for Colby. 

In the first half, Lili Nagy led the Mules to a 46-20 halftime lead tallying 13 points as the team gathered 14 total assists. In the second, Colby kept up the pressure and quality team play leading to the win for the Mules. Nagy led the way dropping a season-high 18 points while grabbing nine boards as Carter McGloon finished with 14 points and just as many rebounds. Lauren Cho also played well totaling 13 points with Caroline Smith netting nine points and gathering seven rebounds. 

Overall, Colby played a great defensive game totaling 23 points off turnovers compared to Thomas' five and outmatched the Terriers on the boards gathering 28 second chance points. The Mules now improve to 7-10 on the season with only conference matchups remaining. 

The Women's Basketball team will head to New London, Conn. on Sunday for a midday matchup against Conn. College.
